Glassine by SiOPack® has been awarded International Gold Winner in the Innovation Europe category.
This award recognises the technological development that, for the first time, enables the production of paper-based materials with high transparency, making it possible to replace conventional plastic windows in packaging.
Glassine by SiOPack® has been awarded Silver Winner in the Carbon Reduction Europe category. The jury particularly highlighted the potential for CO₂ reduction achieved through the replacement of plastic and its integration into existing paper recycling streams.
Selected from more than 1,500 submissions across 56 countries, NP® SiOPack® was honoured as “Best of New Materials” at the Green Product Award 2022.
The jury recognised the sustainable surface functionalisation of paper and natural fibres as a „pioneering technology for replacing polymer-based barrier systems“.
At the Green World Awards 2020, Nanopool received the Gold Award for Environmental Best Practice,
presented by the Green Organisation.
The award acknowledged the technology’s ability to enable 100% plastic-free and 100% compostable packaging solutions at an industrial scale.
In addition, Nanopool was appointed “Green World Ambassador” in recognition of its role as a benchmark for international environmental best practice.
Previous recipients in this category include organisations such as McLaren Group, Toshiba Tec UK and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
Nanopool received the CFI.co Sustainability Award 2020 for the development of its SiO₂ barrier coating technology, recognised as . “Europe’s Best Green Alternative Innovation".
The jury emphasised both the ecological and economic contribution of the technology in reducing dependence on fossil-based raw materials, as well as its successful industrial scalability within the packaging industry.
NP® SiOPack®has also been featured in leading trade publications such as Packaging Europe and Packaging Journal, highlighting its industrial application.
